Farm Manager, Julian, along with Jess and trusty collie, Trim, keep life on the farm running smoothly. Their passion for agriculture; healthy, happy livestock; new and evolving practices and the organic way of life, means our commitment to sustainable and responsible farming goes right down to grass roots.
Call this lovely lot if you need a helping hand placing an order, cooking your organic produce, to find out more about organic, or to tell us what more you’d like to see on our shop. (Any everything else in between!)
This bunch of early birds are already busy preparing orders by 6am each morning. Using traditional techniques, they carefully butcher each and every cut by hand, from whole carcasses. This means we can ensure every single pack is traceable to the local farm it is sourced from, if not our own, while reducing wastage and improving the quality of the final product. We only ever butcher our organic meat to order, so no produce is ever sat around in plastic packets waiting for a home.
This warm-hearted lovely lot may work in chilly temperatures but they pack each and every box with care and attention to detail, doing their best to make sure your milk remains in its bottle and your beef brisket doesn’t crush your blueberries.
All our boxes are made from 100% recycable cardboard, insulated with natural wool liners (which can be re-used and composted) and non-toxic reusable ice packs to keep things cool while in transit.
Of course we would not be complete without our office worker bees, a dedicated team with a diverse set of skills from customer care to copywriting, financial wizardry to front end web design. Not your usual office setting, wellies are the footwear of choice and farmyard the soundtrack to our day.
