Just the ticket to spruce up your sprouts! Just add a little Roam & Relish.
500g organic sprouts, trimmed
1 onion or 200g shallots, peeled and sliced
1 knob of butter
184g pack of Roam & Relish Honey Smoked Streaky Bacon, chopped
¼ teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
- Blanche the trimmed sprouts in a pan of lightly salted boiling water for 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, add the butter to a frying pan with the onion and fry for a few minutes until soft and translucent.
- Remove the onions from the pan and fry the Roam & Relish bacon until crispy.
- Drain the sprouts and add to the frying pan of bacon, along with the softened onions.
- Fry lightly for a couple of minutes until the sprouts are coated and caramelised.
- Add the grated nutmeg and serve.
