Take your steak out of its packaging and allow it to reach room temperature before cooking.
Season your steak with salt and pepper. Drizzle some olive oil over it and rub it in. Get your pan ready so it is nice and hot.
For a medium rare steak, place your steak in the pan and leave it for three and a half minutes before turning it over for another three and a half minutes.
Once cooked, place your steak on a cutting board and allow it to rest for five minutes to let the juices run back through the meat.
